Andrea is a licensed general health psychologist trained at UDIMA, with a cognitive-behavioral and integrative therapeutic approach. She is specialized in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and offers both in-person and online psychotherapy.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) and a Master’s degree in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), as well as a Master’s degree in Psycho-oncology from the University of Barcelona (UB). She also completed a postgraduate program in Integrative Psychology. Her professional experience includes research and clinical work in various healthcare and hospital settings, including eating disorders, psycho-oncology, HIV/AIDS, and community mental health, as well as providing emergency psychological assistance following the 2016 earthquake in Ecuador. These experiences led her to specialize in trauma and grief. In recent years, she has focused on promoting mental health, psychological well-being, and resilience in the workplace through workshops and psychological interventions.
Her experience in multicultural contexts and across different countries has enabled her to develop a broad, respectful, and sensitive perspective toward human diversity. She understands psychotherapy as a safe, supportive, and collaborative space in which she accompanies individuals through their current life challenges and toward building a future with greater well-being, balance, and meaning.
